New Age Blast Media (NABM) is isted on the EPA's Procurement Guidelines for Blasting Grit. NABM is suitable for wet and dry blasting applications. It contains no free silica and no heavy metals such as beryllium found in slag derived blasting media. CARB approved for outdoor blasting under Title 17. QPL approved by U.S. Military under Mil-A-22262B for Blast Cleaning.
CLEANER - NABM® is manufactured from 100% recycled container glass. It directly helps reduce landfill waste and limits the use of more toxic slag’. Non-reactive and inert, it can be safely used near and around water. At 90 PSI, NABM® requires less energy and allows for reduced costs on shipping, collection and disposal.
SAFER - dust is classified by OSHA/NIOSH as "nuisance dust". Contains less than 1% free silica and has virtually none of the OSHA identified heavy/toxic metals associated with slag’s and some other mineral abrasives.
FASTER - crushed glass delivers a natural whiter metal finish. Significantly less embedment issues, up to 5 times less than slag’s and many other traditional abrasives. General blasting needs. Used for heavy/moderate work on tanks, pipes, bridges and ships.
